Ouch!

I’m not sure if I’ve blogged this before, but I joined the Indy Ultimate Frisbee Summer League this year, and I’ve had a blast thus far. My team (short bus all stars 🙂 has only lost one game, which doesn’t hurt the fun factor, but overall it’s just a really fun bunch of people to play with.

Yesterday was one of the last games of the season, with the final games being Saturday. Sadly, I straight-legged a landing on my left heal after coming down from a block (three blocks and one score last night, w00 w00!). While there is no discoloring, I must have bruised the heal pretty badly, because I can’t put pressure on it at all without fairly significant pain.

So, as seems to be the case with me fairly often, I won’t get to play the last two games of the season with Short Bus. ):

  1. Bruised…your heal…at least you didn’t land on your knea! Or breek some teath! OK I’m going to go put some sweat sugar on my cereal. 😉

  2. I think I only got to play about 5 times this year (not counting Gamefest) and it was a blast every time! Maybe next year will be better. 🙂 Glad you’re having fun! The most serious Ultimate injury I ever had was a severely sprained ankle that left me hobbling for 2 months.

  3. Har har mac… Yes, I misspelled heel, but I was definitely thinking that I wished it would heal… So there. 😛

  4. That’s what I like about engineers, they accept having their mistakes pointed out to them. A handy thing, when mistakes can mean the death of hundreds of people.
