Oh, I don’t believe in them

A common label seen on boxes in my industry lately is RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), a label that means that the product doesn’t contain any of several hazardous materials that were previously common in the manufacture of electronics. Unfortunately, my brain insists on saying “Rodents of Hunusual Size” whenever it sees that label. šŸ˜›

  1. When I saw your post on RGSB, I thought you were going to complain about tin whiskers, but I like the ROUS comment better.

    RoHS is making it hard or us to get space qualified parts. Pure tin is absolutely not allowed on any part of any component. We have to grill all our suppliers relentlessly and we still have rouge parts that pass through initial screenings.
