Total Access

I finally gave in and signed up for a trial version of Blockbuster Total Access. But I don’t think we’ll stick with it. I think that NetFlix would be a better deal for us, just based on cost. We just can’t watch enough movies in a month to justify paying $18 every month. $6 a month, yeah probably.

On the other hand, we’ve taken advantage of the trial membership finally to watch Firefly: The Complete Series. We’re really enjoying it. Good night!

How exactly does one go about trying to convince one’s wife to watch Firefly? All my attempts failed miserably.

  2. Jacob says:

Well, what worked for me was to rent Serenity several months back. She enjoyed it enough that I took a chance and purchased it around Christmas time. She enjoyed it enough again that I ventured to suggest we watch the series that spanned the movie, and voila!

However, several factors worked in my favor, the most important being that my wife trusts my taste in movies. And if I had to do it over again, I wouldn’t have watched the movie before the series. . .mainly because several main characters are killed off in the movie. Anyway, that’s how I did it.

Or was that a rhetorical question? ;)

Don’t forget the fact that I just LIKE action type movies. ;) That’s in your favor too.

Evil, tell your wife that I loved the series, and that I haven’t met any girls that didn’t like Firefly. Not even the non-engineer girls I know ;-)

Sorry, but I couldn’t even follow/get into my Jacob’s explanation of the show. Besides, I watch PLENTY of shows I don’t expect him to care about. We watch 24 and The Office together, and I think we’re doing pretty good with that.
