Project update: I finished one project this week and gained another one, so I’m holding steady at 30. Only about 10 of those are on the front burner, so it’s not as bad as it sounds. But all of them require a weekly update to my plant manager.
Yesterday was a pretty good day until about 15:30, at which point I got a really bad headache. I don’t usually get headaches, and if I do they are mild. This one was a doozy. I don’t think I ate anything funny, but I was hungry at the time. So I figured when I ate supper it would go away. We went out to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate Jamie’s birthday. She was hungry for steak after I described to her my Wildfire meal.
(In case you’re wondering, she’ll be 26 tomorrow.)
At any rate, by the time we were done with the meal my head hurt so badly that I thought I was going to throw up. We got home at around 18:30 and Jamie graciously let me crash. I put some vapo-rub type stuff on my temples, took a couple of ibuprofen, and the next thing I knew it was 1:00. I answered the call of nature and crashed again, and didn’t get out of bed until 5:00. My headache was all the way gone.
It was a good morning to start running again, so I did. Only a quarter mile this morning, but it’s a start.
It’s amazing how much better one feels throughout one’s day when one gets enough sleep and exercises first thing in the morning.
Yeah, I try to do a 2 mile jog once or twice a week in the morning… it’s hard to get out of bed, but assuming I still get a good 7-8 hours beforehand, I’m usually glad I did.
I did a half mile this morning. Moving on up! Someday I’ll be as cool as you, Nagi. Maybe.
In all fairness, it does take me 20-22 minutes to do 2 miles. I have a feeling you’re running faster than me.
